It is worth asking if your holiday accommodation has secure storage for skis, boots and snowboards and if there is a fully equipped laundry room.
Try and forsake the slopes for a while though so as not to miss out a few exquisite castles, some sublime baroque and Gothic architecture, and cities where the old and the new have been blended seamlessly. Like other members of the EMU, Austria’s currency is the Euro and their language is German, although for such a small country there are a surprising number of regional dialects. Fortunately many Austrians speak very good English
